Copper & Resin Animal Figures

I have been looking around for a while, for sculptures of European wildlife, and am pleased to have found these amazing limited edition copper and resin squirrels. They have been made by Kirsty Armstrong, a professional sculptor living and working in Cumbria.
She specialises in wildlife sculpture, and has worked for several major figurine manufacturers. She now works almost entirely on producing her own work, and I hope that she will be able to add to the range of animals available.
We can ship these sculptures anywhere in the world (there will be an extra postage charge for delivery outside the UK), so just take a look at the photographs below, and order your copper or resin squirrel now - you won't regret it.
If you need any help, just click on the chat button to chat with me or leave an offline message.

Best Regards, Martin.

Charles Red Squirrel Sculpture Charles Red Squirrel Sculpture

'Charles' was a limited edition of 100 pieces in cold-cast copper.

The sculpture was created over many hours with Kirsty applying the intricate detail to the modelling wax original by hand. After moulding this original, each piece was made to order, and cast by a Cumbrian company in the Lake District.

The sculpture's copper surface was then polished, buffed, waxed, finished and boxed by Kirsty, by hand. 'Charles' is life-size and stands at just a little under 30cm (approx.11.5").

The edition is now sold out, but you can still order Charles' mate 'Willow' and their offspring 'George' & 'Rowan', plus 'Hope' below, but be quick before they all sell out!

'Charles' was based on 'Charles' the orphan Red squirrel kitten who was rescued, hand-reared and released back into the wild.
The kitten was named after HRH Prince Charles, and Kirsty presented number one of this edition to His Royal Highness in February 2011, at the launch of a new Red Squirrel conservation initiative.

Willow Red Squirrel Sculpture Willow Red Squirrel Sculpture

Following the success of 'Charles', Kirsty went on to sculpt 'Willow'; 'Charles' mate. She has been designed to work as one of a pair along-side 'Charles', but also as a piece in her own right.

'Willow' was also sculpted and moulded by the same processes as 'Charles', however the limited edition is slightly larger, at 150 pieces (only a few left). She is also in Cold-cast copper to reflect the colour of the Red Squirrel.

'Willow' is also life-size and stands at 24cm (9.5") tall. She is supplied with a certificate of authenticity and a leaflet, both signed by the artist.

George Red Squirrel Sculpture George Red Squirrel Sculpture

'George' was also sculpted and moulded by the same processes as 'Charles' & 'Willow' and the limited edition is 150 pieces (only a few left). He is also in Cold-cast copper to reflect the colour of the Red Squirrel.

'George' is also life-size and stands at 21cm (8.5") tall. He is supplied with a certificate of authenticity and a leaflet, both signed by the artist.

Rowan Red Squirrel Sculpture Rowan Red Squirrel Sculpture

'Rowan' is the fifth Red Squirrel sculpture in the series. She is a determined and mischievous juvenile, the second 'off-spring' of 'Charles' and 'Willow' and sister to 'George'...

'Rowan' is a limited edition of 150 pieces, some of which will be cast in white resin and hand painted, and some will be made in cold-cast copper, as in this listing.

She is life-sized and is in an autumnal woodland floor setting with newly fallen Rowan leaves, and conkers peeping out glossily from their still green casings...

Rowan was first sculpted in modelling wax, then after a double moulding process, she started to be cast, in Cumbria in the north of England.

The white resin version is hand painted, and these copper ones are polished with wire wool and then a polishing compound and wax.

If you place an order we will keep you updated on the progress of your squirrel and we will always try to turn the order around as quickly as possible.

Hope Red Squirrel Sculpture Hope Red Squirrel Sculpture (resin)

This is 'Hope', a life-sized Red squirrel peeping from a hole in a Pine tree and is designed as a wall-mounted sculpture for inside. The original was sculpted in wax and moulded, then each one of this limited edition is cast in resin and hand painted.

'Hope' was first designed as the award for the Red Squirrel Survival Trust 2012 volunteer of the year awards which were presented in Alnwick Castle. The eight awards which were presented were made in copper. To keep them unique and special for the award recipients, 'Hope' is now only produced as a painted version, and it is a limited edition of 150 pieces (only a few left).

'Hope' is sculpted in deep relief, hand-painted and numbered, and it has a saw-tooth hanger on the reverse. A certificate of authenticity comes with each piece.

'Hope' measures approximately 9.5" (24cm ) from top to bottom. A percentage of the profits from each sale of Hope goes to Red Squirrel conservation projects throughout the UK with 1,700 being raised and distributed so far!
