We provide some of the best badger gates available, to consultancies, developers and landowners all over the UK,
and try to keep sufficient stocks to cope with the inevitable last-minute
orders during the badger sett exclusion licensing season. However many
badger gates you require, whether it is just one badger gate for a stock-proof or rabbit-proof
fence, or to keep your dogs from escaping through holes made by badgers in your fence,
or 20 badger gates for a large badger sett exclusion, we aim to supply the best

Made from oak, our standard wooden badger gates exceed the specifications suggested by Defra,
and provide a reliable means of allowing badgers to pass through
fences, while effectively blocking the passage of rabbits, deer,
and other unwanted wildlife.
This avoids the problem of badgers digging under fences and
allowing other wildlife or pets through, as badgers will always try to
continue to use their paths, even when they are blocked.
Our oak badger gate frames are constructed from 50 x 50 mm (2" x 2") rough-sawn green oak,
jointed and pinned. The badger gate itself is a solid piece of 200 x 250 x 50mm (8" x 10" x 2") rough-sawn oak,
swinging freely on strong coach-screws which pass through the frame. The gate has chamfered edges all round.The badger gate frame has pointed 'feet' for easy positioning in the ground.

We also supply oak badger gates for excluding badgers from their setts (can only be done under licence, as disturbing a badger sett is an
offence under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992). These gates have an oak batten which can be set to only allow the gate flap to swing one way, thus
allowing the badgers to exit their sett but not return (subject to satisfactory installation).

Our new Highways Agency specification galvanised steel badger gates can be used as fence gates or as exclusion gates.
They are excellent quality, at a reasonable price, and are available for sale or hire.
The beauty of the metal badger gates is that they will last a very long time, are very strong, and will never warp (a
problem for any wooden gate in certain conditions) or rot.

* Please note that some warping of the timber of our badger gates may occur under certain conditions.
Please do not store them in too dry an environment, as they will be more prone to warping.
We have supplied hundreds of these gates, both for exclusions and for installation in
fences, and have only had 3 problems so far - we've had one hinge pin (screw) fail, one door flap needed to be replaced, and
one complaint that the gates were rough-sawn and not planed!! We would point out that sometimes the gate flaps are a bit
curved, but this should not affect their operation - if it does, we'll send you a replacement flap. We aim to please, so
if you have any problems, let us know. Our oak badger gate design has now been improved, so they are stronger and with big hinge pins.
